Job Description :

Who Are We?

At Diageo Australia, we're not just about spirits; we're about stories. As the country's leading spirits producer, our enviable portfolio includes global giants like Johnnie Walker, Gordon’s Gin, Baileys, Smirnoff, and Captain Morgan. We also are proud of our premium Reserve brands such as Tanqueray, Aviation Gin, and Don Julio. Among these celebrated names stands Bundaberg Rum—Australia's iconic rum brand. Born in the heart of Bundaberg from a simple idea at a local pub, this brand embodies the larrikin spirit of its fans and is woven into the fabric of its community.

About the Role: Assistant Brand Manager – Bundaberg Rum

This isn't your typical Assistant Brand Manager role—it's your chance to take ownership and lead key elements of our Bundaberg Rum brand plan. You'll drive partnerships with major sporting codes like the NRL, spearhead on-premise and shopper plans, and lead our social strategy. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager – Rum, you'll have end-to-end accountability for this powerhouse local brand.

Where Will You Grow:

  • Craft and deliver brand plans that resonate authentically with consumers.
  • Lead exciting projects across activations, experiential campaigns, and sports partnerships.
  • Own relationships with agency groups to launch Limited Edition products.
  • Drive digital-first initiatives within the Rum team.
  • Strengthen connectivity across Diageo's internal departments.

What Will You Bring:

  • Experience in FMCG or Consumer Goods environments at an Assistant Brand Manager level.
  • Curiosity for consumer insights and passion for ideation.
  • Strong analytical skills and digital marketing experience.
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships and implement flawlessly.

Why Join Us:

Enjoy competitive perks, flexible work options, and be part of a diverse team that celebrates success globally. At Diageo, we create products that are part of celebrations worldwide. Our culture reflects this vibrant spirit as we work flexibly to fit around life commitments while constantly striving for growth.

Commitment to Inclusion & Diversity:

Diageo values diversity as a driver of innovation. We actively promote employment for people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTI communities, and other diverse groups. Reasonable adjustments are provided throughout our recruitment process to ensure inclusivity.

What you need to know about the Sydney Tech Scene

From opera to comedy shows, the Sydney Opera House hosts more than 1,600 performances a year, yet its entertainment sector isn't the only one taking center stage. The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region. More specifically, its IT sector stands out as the country's third-largest, growing at twice the rate of overall employment in the past decade as businesses continue to digitize their operations to stay competitive.
