Rest currently has an exciting opportunity for an experience Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager at Rest is instrumental in identifying and securing new employer partnerships. This role involves identifying prospective employers, cultivating relationships with potential employers, enhancing awareness of Rest's offerings, and ensuring positive engagement with our brand. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition for Rest Super, focusing on strategic relationships and managing a robust pipeline.
  • Foster growth within existing employer networks and their parent companies.
  • Utilise Rest data analytics to pinpoint viable business opportunities.
  • Engage with prospects through networking events and association partnerships.
  • Deliver a compelling value proposition to employers and continuously seek improvement.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Management teams to grow client accounts and develop tailored solutions.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation for key business opportunities.
  • Take the lead in sales initiatives during the onboarding and transition of new business, representing the Business Development team with professionalism and expertise.
  • In-depth knowledge of the default superannuation landscape and a comprehensive grasp of the offerings presented by our key competitors in the market.
  • Contribute to strategic planning within the business unit, ensuring alignment with Rest’s vision and mission.
  • Uphold compliance with industry regulations and company policies, while managing associated risks.
  • Champion innovative approaches to enhance the business acquisition process, customer experience, and overall service delivery

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or with a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience
  • RG146

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:

  • Prior successful business development experience in superannuation, essential, with a strong emphasis on the business-to-business (B2B) arena.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth and revenue generation within the employer superannuation sector, including a consistent track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Ability to present and influence with senior stakeholders including C-Suite and at board level, both internally and externally on complex matters
  • Proven experience in building and nurturing robust relationships with key stakeholders, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with and support employers within the superannuation landscape by understanding their unique needs and creating mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Capacity to represent Rest confidently and present professionally across various forums and to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build interpersonal connections.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling clear and persuasive articulation of complex concepts and ideas to both internal and external parties.
  • A deep understanding of financial services principles, along with specific knowledge of superannuation products, services, and the dynamics of the market
