About the role:
Ignition is seeking a Finance Analyst, reporting to the Senior Manager - Strategic Finance & Investor Relations. You will take ownership of Ignition’s core financial model, performance reporting, and deep-dive analysis into key operational and financial metrics.
What your day to day will look like:
- Own and manage the company’s financial model including monthly and quarterly updates of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Contribute to the month-end reporting process, collaborating closely with the full Finance team.
- Prepare company-wide updates and financial performance narratives to key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and external investors.
- Prepare the annual and quarterly forecast, working closely with regional and functional heads.
- Analyse drivers of core SaaS metrics including customer acquisition, churn, expansion, and contraction.
- Manage and refine core financial and operational reports (e.g., Customer Cube), ensuring accurate data drives decision-making.
What you need to succeed:
- 2+ years of experience in a finance, commercial analysis, or relevant role, ideally within a SaaS or technology business.
- Proficiency in financial modeling across Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, capable of building and maintaining robust, best-practice models for forecasting and analysis.
- Foundational understanding of accounting concepts and the ability to read and understand key financial statements and SaaS metrics.
- Ability to be proactive and “hands-on” with detailed and complex data, translating it into meaningful insights for stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain highly collaborative relationships.
- Highly organised, dependable, and capable of prioritising and managing multiple tight deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
