(NASDAQ: BKNG), is an industry leader with a passion for helping restaurants thrive. Our world-class technology empowers restaurants to focus on what matters most – their team, their guests, and their bottom line – while enabling diners to discover and book the perfect restaurant for every occasion.

Every employee at OpenTable has a tangible impact on what we do and how we do it. You’ll also be part of a global team and its portfolio of metasearch brands. Hospitality is all about taking care of others, and it defines our culture.

OpenTable is looking for a Lead Recruiter, APAC to join our People & Culture team. The primary location for this role is Melbourne on a hybrid basis with 2 days in the office. However, we are also open to considering Sydney based candidates seeking a full-time remote opportunity.

In this role, you will own the talent acquisition strategy and execution for the APAC region, showcasing a strong ability to work through ambiguity and lead regional recruiting. As a player-coach, you will act as a key resource for the business, managing full-cycle recruitment while providing strategic leadership across the region. You are a driven self-starter who is deeply passionate about candidate experience and building positive relationships across business functions.

  • Lead and own talent acquisition strategy for APAC, acting as a player-coach to navigate ambiguity and guide regional recruitment.

  • Attract top talent and engage passive candidates through creative sourcing strategies, online databases, and networking, while tracking progress in our ATS (Greenhouse).

  • Act as a brand ambassador to build and maintain the OpenTable brand across the region.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor.

  • Help craft, maintain, and track recruiting metrics and pipeline talent for future organization needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7 or more years of recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment, including prioritizing and leading multiple searches.

  • Demonstrated experience leading recruitment efforts within the APAC region and the ability to work through ambiguity.

  • Proven track record as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to act as a player-coach, balancing hands-on recruiting with leadership and management experience.

  • Strong communication, interaction, and negotiation skills with internal clients and external candidates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for diverse roles such as Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering.

  • Experience utilizing Greenhouse or similar applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage pipelines.

  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a results-oriented approach to building collaborative relationships in the workplace.

  • Work from (almost) anywhere for up to 20 days per year

  • Focus on mental health and well-being:

    • Company-paid therapy sessions through SpringHealth

    • Development Dollars

    • Leadership development

    • Access to thousands of on-demand e-learnings

Work Environment & Flexibility

At OpenTable, we pride ourselves on fostering a global and dynamic work environment. As a team member with us, you will benefit from a schedule tailored to accommodate a global workforce operating across multiple time zones. While the majority of your responsibilities may align with conventional business hours, there will be instances where you are expected to manage communications - via calls, Slack messages, or emails - outside of regular working hours to effectively collaborate with international colleagues, respond to restaurant partners, and/or address urgent matters. OpenTable will always abide by and consider local laws and regulations.

Inclusion

We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. We know the best ideas come when we bring different voices to the table, so we're building a team as dynamic as the diners and restaurants we serve—and fostering a culture where everyone feels welcome to be themselves.

If you need accommodations during the application or interview process, or on the job, we’re here to support you. Please reach out to your recruiter to request any accommodations.
