About the team
We're the Product Insights Enablement group — PIE for short — and we're on a mission to unlock smarter, faster product development at Canva.
We own Pilot: our internal platform that brings together major launches, experimentation, feature flags, metrics, and a product catalogue — a canonical view of every feature and product in Canva, with standardised, centralised metrics and insights for product teams.
We've built a strong foundation of data and measurement over the years. But we're not just here to deliver more data. We're here to unleash the next era of Canva's product evolution — building novel capabilities that combine qual and quant insights, leaning into AI, and helping teams make bold, confident product decisions that drive the growth and quality of Canva.
What you’d be doing in this role
As a Platform Product Manager in PIE, you’ll drive the evolution of Pilot — our internal platform powering major launches, experimentation, metrics, and product understanding across Canva. Pilot is on a journey from passive data to proactive intelligence. We’re moving beyond raw data and static dashboards to a world of intelligent, truly self-serve insights. This role sits at the heart of the shift.
You’ll own how we launch features at scale through the major launch process and our experimentation platform - two of the most critical capability areas for Pilot. You’ll spearhead how we can evolve experimentation to be AI native to enable better, faster experimentation and outcomes. And while this is an internal platform, we care deeply about user experience, building tools that are intuitive, scalable, and genuinely delightful to use.
Set direction, own and drive the roadmap for key programs of work for Pilot, with a focus on Major Launches & AI Experimentation
Build alignment and close collaboration across team boundaries - including with founders and senior leaders - to drive the platform forward and move us towards our product vision that empowers Canva’s product teams to make data-informed decisions at scale.
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, designers and other PMs to build elegant, scalable systems, while ensuring cohesion across the unified platform.
Drive company-wide adoption of Pilot capabilities, embedding them into how product teams and leadership work day-to-day.
Lead 0→1 product discovery and delivery — from shaping problem spaces and setting priorities, through to launch and iteration.
Balance technical depth and user empathy to ensure our platform is both powerful and a delight to use for our internal users.
Work closely with internal users to continuously iterate on the platform, uncover new opportunities, and ensure we’re solving the highest-impact problems — guided by feedback, usage patterns, and performance data.

You set direction, sequence priorities and shape strategy that creates durable value - not just for your team, but across Canva. You think in systems, not features, and know how to balance bold ideas with pragmatic execution.
You’ve built internal data platforms or experimentation tooling before, and you know what it takes to make something technical feel genuinely useful to the teams who rely on it. You make high-stakes calls confidently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, and you build trust through clear, consistent communication.
You thrive in fast paced, ambiguous spaces and rally cross-functional teams around bold ideas. You’ve likely seen what good looks like in organisations with mature launch and experimentation practices — and now, you’re excited to help Canva get to great. We’re at a pivotal moment for how AI can reshape major launch and experimentation, and in this role, you'll help shape the platform that world-class product teams across Canva use every single day.
