Job Description

  • Challenge yourself to provide functional & SME knowledge to maintain and enhance our payroll systems 
  • Work on BAU Payroll activities and a Group wide transformation project for replacement of payroll & award interpretation systems. 
  • 6 x 2 year fixed-term contract opportunities based at Qantas Head Office in Mascot

As the Senior Analyst Payroll, you will provide expert support and insights on complex payroll and superannuation matters. You’ll play a key role in the Payroll Transformation Program—one of Australia’s largest initiatives of its kind—impacting over 19,000 employees. In this role, you will ensure business requirements are accurately interpreted, documented, and validated, while developing analytical tools to deliver meaningful data and insights across the payroll function. You will contribute to the Group Payroll Transformation Project as well as support BAU payroll activities as needed. A particular focus will be on our Mainline and Subsidiary EBA Airlines business as they transition to the ADP GlobalView Payroll system and UKG Award Interpretation platform. 

 

You’ll have: 

  • More than 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role or relevant similar experience. 
  • Knowledge/experience (BAU & Implementation) with ADP Global View Payroll & UKG Award Interpretation systems is highly regarded.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multiple complex analytics tasks across multiple data sets. 
  • Elevated level of autonomy, accountability and ownership. 
  • Strong payroll functional and technical experience desirable. 
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
