A Snapshot
As Senior Manager, Social Impact & Community, based in our HQ in North Sydney, you will report to the Director, Social Impact, and work closely with various teams and leadership across Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Shape and evolve AirTrunk’s social impact and community programs, driving meaningful, measurable change in the communities where we operate
- Source opportunities and lead the implementation of social impact initiatives and partnerships that align with our strategic priorities and business objectives
- Foster and maintain impactful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to amplify our social impact
- Execute end-to-end social impact programs with a focus on governance, compliance, and transparent reporting to stakeholders and oversight bodies
- Manage a program of work autonomously, with oversight and strategic input from key stakeholders
Your Day to Day
Partnership Engagement & Pipeline
- Proactively identify, initiate, and cultivate strategic partnerships with social impact partners across regions
- Develop and scale collaboration opportunities that align with AirTrunk’s social impact goals and respond to evolving community needs
- Maintain and grow long-term relationships to maximise program reach, effectiveness, and impact
- Lead delivery of the social impact program with accountability for relationship management, budget control, administration, execution, and impact measurement.
- Apply a strategic, growth-focused mindset to continuously refine and align the program with both business priorities and community outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and manage strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including customers, local governments, local communities, financial institutions, and other partners.
- Work with the Program Manager, Social Impact, to design and implement employee engagement and volunteering initiatives
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to craft and deliver compelling internal and external comms showcasing AirTrunk’s social impact
Community Engagement
- Support the Associate Vice President, Social Impact & Community, in the implementation of our community strategy across regions with a focus on cross-functional collaboration
- Support the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies for existing and prospective data centre communities, including workshops, community meetings, community feedback management and impact reporting.
Compliance & Reporting
- Support the Director, Social Impact, in ensuring governance, risk management, and compliance across all program activities.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on partnership performance and program outcomes to oversight committees, the Board, and lenders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Project Support
- Contribute to additional social impact projects and activities as required to support broader strategic objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, sustainability, corporate social responsibility).
- Proven experience (7+ years) in developing and leading programs (social impact or corporate social responsibility programs preferrable, but not essential)
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate social impact initiatives.
- Strong understanding of social and environmental issues and trends, especially those related to the technology and data centre industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community organisations and NGOs.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire both internal and external audiences.
- Experience in measuring and reporting on social impact performance and using data to drive decision-making.
- Passion for sustainability, social responsibility, and making a positive impact on society.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and navigate through ambiguity.
