About The Opportunity

Grubhub is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Discovery product team. Our mission is simple yet challenging: help millions of diners find the food they love. Whether customers know exactly what they want or need inspiration for something new, you'll be at the forefront of solving complex discovery challenges like recommendation trust and decision fatigue.

This role will drive the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution for how our product and business evolves to support and scale our hyper local discovery efforts. You'll optimize user discovery while balancing monetization, key restaurant partnerships, and strategic offers, ensuring value creation for both diners and the business. This includes building dashboards to monitor feature performance and independently running A/B tests to optimize conversion and retention, partnering deeply with engineering, data science, design, marketing, and finance teams.

The Impact You Will Make:

  • Create the product plan for the next generation of the Grubhub commerce platform working directly with senior engineering leadership.

  • Create the vision and articulate the short and long term product strategy for using Grubhub’s commerce platform to expand the third party partnership product offering

  • Work with Engineering to integrate customer and business requirements into commerce platform system to ensure feature parity across applications

  • Gather and unearth business opportunities through research, data analysis, user experience analysis, competitive research, testing and experimentation

  • Manages product features, influences customers, vendors, external partners, and engineering teams priorities

  • Proficiently communicates clearly and effectively both verbally and written with Product, Design, Engineering and Business partners to ensure clear messaging of the Partnership Platform strategy and goals across the company 

  • Able to liaison between Product and non-technical/product partners to clearly explain complex product concepts in a simple language

  • Sets clear, quantitative measures for product(s) and monitors process, progress, and results  

  • Delivering on rigorous, quantifiable business objectives in a matrixed, flat organization

  • Playing a key role on the company’s strategic direction, defining and articulating new opportunities, and working in close concert with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, Grubhub’s technology team and various business teams 

  • Identifies when there are areas of improvement within the team and proactively mentors them to help close those gaps

  • Invests in coaching and mentoring other PMs on the team

  • Demonstrates strong writing and storytelling skills through product briefs, jira tickets, opportunity assessments, etc.

  • Actively makes process improvements 

  • Drives large features within their domain and is the SME for those crossing a number of partners 

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in digital Product Management or directly adjacent roles within an Agile environment.

  • Direct experience with large-scale e-commerce platforms supporting both web and native mobile application environments, A/B testing, and data analytics.

  • Data fluency and demonstrated data-driven decision-making abilities, with strong analytical and quantitative skills, utilizing data and metrics to support assumptions, recommendations, drive action, and monitor product health, including experience with SQL using queries, reports, and dashboards.

  • Technical understanding for your domain of product development, demonstrating an advanced understanding at the architecture and system levels.

  • Experience collaborating across various organizations such as technology, marketing, sales, operations, and finance.

  • Strong UX sensibility with an eye for simplifying complex navigation and browse experiences

  • Lead with an ownership mentality, demonstrated through a track record not only of high-quality execution, but also of originating, evaluating, and building consensus around opportunities that drive business and customer impact. A proven ability to influence outcomes and people without direct reporting lines.

  • Thrive with ambiguity and create clarity from chaos through written and verbal communications 

  • Strong Business Acumen with an eye for the larger financial picture and impact across other teams

  • Inspire others to operate at a higher level through your own work and contributions

Base Salary

New York: $162,000 - $170,000 per year.

Illinois: $146,000 - $153,000 per year.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
