A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Solution Architect- Wireless Systems.

A bit about your role

At nbn, this role is critical to shaping how the Fixed Wireless network is managed, monitored and automated through modern Element Management Systems and operations platforms.

We are seeking a Solution Architect – Wireless Systems with a strong focus on Element Management Systems architecture, operations integration and data-driven network management.

As Solution Architect – Wireless Systems, reporting to the Manager – Fixed Wireless Systems, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for Element Management Systems, ensuring scalable and resilient network management capabilities
  • Design and deliver integrated solutions across Element Management Systems, network elements and information technology operations support systems
  • Contribute to and execute the Element Management Systems and operations roadmap, aligned to Fixed Wireless technology evolution
  • Define and implement telemetry and observability architecture, enabling real-time visibility of network performance and health
  • Support development of automation frameworks and closed-loop operational capabilities across network management platforms
  • Enable integration between radio access network, transport network and core network systems through Element Management Systems platforms
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native, application programming interface driven and event-based architectures for network management
  • Translate business and operational requirements into scalable, automated and production-ready system solutions.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate has strong telecommunications engineering expertise across complex network operations, design, construction, and technical delivery, with the ability to identify, design, and implement engineering solutions that address current and emerging network challenges. They bring experience leading technical teams, collaborating across stakeholders, and delivering outcomes that align with solution architecture, regulatory requirements, and optimal network performance. Exposure to agile ways of working and project management practices will be highly regarded.
