Coordinates strategic initiatives and change implementation across TPD Claims. The role aligns stakeholders, manages deliverables, supports training schedules, tracks progress, prepares reporting and change communications, and assists with administration. Investigates claims and underwriting decisions, prepares compliant final responses under ASIC RG 271, conducts peer reviews, mentors specialists, and collaborates with claims, underwriting, funds, trustees, and external partners to deliver fair customer outcomes.

Provide strategic legal advice across life insurance products, commercial arrangements, contracts, intellectual property, customer communications, marketing, and regulatory matters. Manage legal and regulatory risk, monitor emerging developments, support industry reform and advocacy, and help business stakeholders make informed decisions. The role requires collaboration, strong drafting skills, commercial judgment, and knowledge of financial services regulation, life insurance, and consumer protection.

Lead customer remediation and review initiatives within the claims function. Investigate complex customer, process, and operational issues; identify root causes and sustainable solutions; manage remediation projects from initiation through implementation; analyze information; present recommendations to senior leaders; and drive process improvement, risk reduction, customer advocacy, and operational excellence.

Develop and execute TAL’s social influence and authority strategy through content, influencer and creator partnerships, earned media, customer advocacy, reviews, and industry awards. Build brand credibility, visibility, and trust while amplifying customer stories and optimizing performance using data and insights. Manage agencies, stakeholders, review programs, and awards activities to strengthen customer engagement, brand reputation, and discoverability across social and AI-powered platforms.

Manage complex group life insurance claims from submission through finalization. Independently assess TPD and IP claims, interpret legacy policy terms, calculate entitlements and payments, coordinate with medical, legal, rehabilitation, and treating doctor specialists, and communicate claim status with customers, advisers, trustees, and fund administrators. Participate in case conferences and ensure timely, accurate outcomes while delivering empathetic customer service in line with policies and procedures.

Lead accurate and compliant payroll delivery, governance, audits, controls, and risk management. Manage payroll process improvement, automation, reporting, and operational optimisation while leading and developing the Payroll Services team. Oversee stakeholder relationships, complex escalations, service performance, and employee-focused service outcomes using data and insights.

Manage a portfolio of income protection and total permanent disability life insurance claims from assessment through finalisation. Responsibilities include analysing claims, calculating payments, communicating with customers and advisers, coordinating with medical, legal, rehabilitation and treating professionals, participating in case conferences, instructing service providers, and delivering timely, empathetic outcomes in line with policies and procedures.
