Bureau Veritas Completes Acquisition of Sydney-Based The APP Group

The addition of The APP Group’s services allows Bureau Veritas to diversify its portfolio and grow within the Australian market.

The APP Group, a Sydney-based property and insurance firm, was acquired by Bureau Veritas, a company offering inspection, certification and lab testing services. The acquisition was announced on November 4 and closed on Monday, December 2. 

Bureau Veritas provides technical support to help customers in sectors like agriculture, automotive, cybersecurity, oil and gas and commodities, to address quality, health and safety, environmental protection and sustainability challenges. The company employs more than 83,000 people and serves customers in 140 countries.

The APP Group operates an integrated services model for the full asset capital investment lifecycle. The advisory firm serves sectors including transport, property, social infrastructure, utilities, construction and security. Joining Bureau Veritas allows the 500-person firm to strengthen its buildings and infrastructure capabilities and benefit from Bureau Veritas’ regional footprint.
