Neara raised $31 million in Series C funding that will be used to enhance its international operations and enable expansion into new verticals. The round was led by EQT and included contributions from Partners Group, Square Peg Capital and existing investors such as Skip Capital and Prosus Ventures. This influx of capital will allow the Sydney-based company to strengthen its presence in key regions such as Europe and Asia Pacific as it focuses on addressing challenges in energy resilience and infrastructure modernization.
Neara’s AI-driven predictive modeling software supports critical infrastructure management, helping utility providers optimize their networks by identifying potential safety and reliability risks and formulating effective remediation strategies. The technology cuts down on the time required for analyses, according to Neara, facilitating faster decision making. Notable utility partners like CenterPoint Energy and Southern California Edison have already benefited from Neara’s solutions.
Looking ahead, Neara plans to expand its modeling and simulation capabilities to other critical infrastructure sectors, including telecommunications and public transportation. The recent investment will also support ongoing broadband infrastructure projects in the United States, which aims to improve connectivity for underserved communities.
