Create high-quality particle, pyro, rigid body, fluid, cloth, fur, and hair simulations for feature animation projects. Use Houdini, Python, VEX, Unreal Engine, and custom pipeline tools to develop effects such as smoke, fire, clouds, water, steam, and explosions. Troubleshoot technical challenges, collaborate across production departments, and deliver work within deadlines.

Leads the creative and technical execution of FX and CFX for a CG animated feature. Designs simulation and procedural effects, guides artists, coordinates assignments and deliveries, manages work within approved scope and bid days, and escalates risks or overruns. Collaborates with VFX and CG Supervisors on creative intent, technical standards, pipeline integration, and final image requirements.

Manage large-scale VFX film and television productions alongside Producers, Production Managers, and Supervisors. Responsibilities include planning schedules and milestones, coordinating artists and clients, allocating resources, compiling reports, troubleshooting production issues, mentoring team members, and supporting day-to-day show operations. The role may independently manage smaller TV productions and requires strong VFX knowledge, project management capability, communication, organization, and delivery under tight deadlines.

Provide second- and third-line support for DNEG’s global Linux infrastructure, including storage, databases, backup systems, automation tools, CI systems, and monitoring platforms. Diagnose and report infrastructure issues, maintain MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, contribute to technology projects, and communicate complex technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
