The role requires high agency, strong organization, clear communication, daily AI-tool usage, and comfort working independently in an ambiguous startup environment. Based in Sydney five days weekly, with occasional domestic travel to cattle stations and field events.

Build and own the cloud and edge platform connecting autonomous drones, docks, and customers. Responsibilities include AWS infrastructure as code, backend and desktop applications, offline-first synchronization, OTA fleet updates, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, video streaming, and reliable networking across remote cattle stations. The role is hands-on, Sydney-based five days per week, with regular domestic and potentially international field deployments.

Build and deploy computer vision and perception systems for autonomous cattle-monitoring drones. Responsibilities include training and optimizing models for Jetson edge hardware, developing DeepStream and GStreamer pipelines, fusing camera and GNSS/IMU data, georeferencing and tracking cattle, supporting autonomy, and validating systems through simulation, replay, and field deployments.
