Leads origination, structuring, execution, financing, and ongoing management of whole-loan and asset-backed transactions. Responsibilities include investment due diligence, pricing, financial modelling, scenario analysis, stakeholder and counterparty management, portfolio oversight, covenant monitoring, restructures, governance, risk management, and developing team capability.

Owns month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations, statutory financial statements, disclosures, and financial control for multiple entities. Investigates accounting anomalies through source systems and general ledger data, resolves issues, supports audit and tax outcomes, strengthens controls, simplifies processes, and communicates recommendations across finance and investment teams.

Develop and maintain Playwright-based automated testing frameworks for web applications, APIs, and integrated systems. Translate requirements into test scenarios, execute automated and manual functional, regression, API, and integration tests, investigate defects, validate fixes, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with technical and business teams to improve coverage, testing standards, efficiency, and software quality across financial services platforms.

Develop and maintain quantitative pricing, valuation, risk, market data, and actuarial systems using C#/.NET. Translate financial models into production software, build quantitative libraries and valuation infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to testing, validation, peer reviews, and engineering improvements. Collaborate with analysts, actuaries, and developers across fixed income, interest rates, FX, derivatives, annuities, and reinsurance while exploring AI-assisted development and automation.

Leads investment strategy for insurance balance sheets and broader portfolios, including strategic asset allocation, liability-aware investing, portfolio construction, capital efficiency, liquidity, and risk management. Advises senior executives, Boards, and investment committees; oversees strategy implementation, performance analysis, stress testing, and governance. Leads the Investment Strategy function and collaborates with Risk, Finance, Actuarial, Product, Treasury, and Operations teams.

Partners with investment leadership to manage operational risk, compliance, governance, regulatory obligations, controls, incidents, and business change. Advises on financial services regulation, supports transactions and new products, facilitates risk assessments, maintains GRC frameworks, delivers reporting to senior committees and Boards, and strengthens risk culture through training and stakeholder engagement.

Lead the greenfield development of Challenger’s React digital platform. Own React architecture, engineering standards, reusable component libraries, API and BFF integrations, CI/CD pipelines, quality controls, security, performance, accessibility and observability. Provide hands-on coding, code reviews and technical leadership while influencing internal teams and delivery partners. Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Design, Security and Accenture teams to establish scalable digital portal foundations and grow internal React capability.
