The Reserve Bank of Australia’s 2026 Audit Graduate Program is designed to develop future leaders in audit and risk, offering exposure to operational risk and information systems audit.

We welcome applications from candidates studying a range of disciplines including Information Technology, Commerce and Data Analytics.

The 2 year Audit Graduate program commences on 2 February 2026 alongside peers from a range of graduate program streams.  If you're curious, detail-driven, and ready to do important work that matters, this is where your journey begins.

Your Role

  • Conduct operational audits to analyse processes, identify improvements, and ensure smooth operations

  • Perform data analysis, evaluate controls, and prepare audit documentation and reports

  • Apply behavioural root cause analysis to audit findings

  • Support strategic decisions that enhance operations and system resilience

  • Present findings and collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation and improvement.

Your Development

  • Complete the RBA’s structured two-year graduate training program, plus specialised training in audit, risk, and governance

  • Strengthen your ability to assess risk and deliver strategic recommendations

  • Build industry skills in assurance and advisory

  • Receive guidance and support from experienced professionals across departments

  • Gain exposure across diverse departments—from policy teams to HR—to understand how the Bank operates.

  • Develop a holistic view of the Bank to help you prepare for future leadership roles

Selection Criteria

  • Final-year students or recent graduates in data analytics, business information systems, information technology, or actuarial studies with excellent academic results

  • Demonstrated interest in risk management through coursework, internships, or volunteer experience

  • Strong communication, adaptability, collaboration, and a results-driven mindset

  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent residency or New Zealand citizenship is required at the time of application

  • Apply with your resume, academic transcript and a cover letter describing your demonstrated interest in risk management.
