Position Overview
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and quality-checking AC tubular motors to ensure they meet mechanical, electrical, and safety standards before release to production. You’ll work closely with quality, engineering, and production teams in a structured manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
Mechanical & Electrical Assembly
Assemble stator, rotor, gearbox, limit switch modules, and motor housings
Fit crowns, drive wheels, and adapters in line with model specifications
Install wiring harnesses and terminal connections for AC motor operation
Ensure correct torque alignment and gearbox calibration
Quality Control & Testing
Conduct functional rotation testing (up/down cycles)
Validate torque output, speed consistency, and operational performance
Check noise levels and vibration thresholds
Inspect assemblies for wiring, mechanical, or housing defects
Document test results and report non-conformities
Safety & Compliance
Follow electrical safety standards for AC motors
Ensure compliance with ISO, CE, and internal manufacturing guidelines
Maintain clean, organised, and hazard-free workstations
Use PPE and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures when required
Documentation & Reporting
Complete assembly checklists and production records
Record serial numbers, batch numbers, and test outcomes
Escalate recurring issues to engineering or process improvement teams
- All other duties as assigned
Who you are
Technical Skills
Understanding of AC motor principles (stator, rotor, torque, frequency)
Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
Experience using torque tools, calipers, multimeters, and insulation testers
Familiarity with tubular motors or blind/automation systems (desirable)
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail
Practical problem-solving mindset
Ability to follow SOPs and quality standards
Clear communication with production and engineering teams
