Role Overview
In this role, you will be a part of PIMCO’s Sydney-based Account Management Associate Pool covering Global Wealth Management clients and Consultants with the primary focus to service clients, as well as to support business development activities.
Responsibilities
This position requires an analytical, detail-oriented professional who can:
- Accurately and efficiently prepare client reports spanning performance, trading activity, portfolio valuation and risk metrics
- Support the Account Management team through the provision of market and portfolio data
- Analyse portfolio data including qualitative and quantitative performance attribution
- Handle ongoing automation of growing reporting requirements and streamlining of the reporting process
- Produce ad-hoc client, consultant, auditor, & internal requests for information
- Providing support for identifying new business development opportunities (i.e. investors, asset pools, channels), driving marketing/sales campaigns, and preparing for finals presentations and closing business
- Develop and maintain a variety of different types of materials to support new business development, existing business and other marketing campaigns
- Provide current insight regarding the firm and product specific investment philosophy, process, strategy, performance and other relevant information directly or indirectly to clients, prospective clients and consultants
- Work with PIMCO management (specifically, GWM Sales Channel) to formulate, execute and accomplish business plan that adheres to the guiding principles of keeping a long-term perspective and maintaining a consultative sales approach
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of PIMCO’s products, platforms, themes, initiatives, markets, strategies, and policies as well as those of its clients.
- Maintain the highest level of compliance with all industry and PIMCO regulations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years or fresh graduate for Analyst level
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and analysis techniques.
- Demonstrate strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (VBA knowledge a plus), along with comfort using a range of software applications including index-provider databases, query tools, Bloomberg, CRM platforms, and sales enablement tools.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills
- RG146 compliant or willing to obtain
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail; ensure that all work is delivered completed, accurately, and on time and demonstrate a sense of personal accountability
- Demonstrate strong and effective communication skills to engage effectively with financial advisors and clients. Actively listen and ask insightful questions to understand and meet customer needs, going beyond standard responsibilities to deliver exceptional service.
