About the role

The Account Associate, Institutional plays a key role supporting Perpetual Group’s Institutional Sales team within the Asset Management business. This role is accountable for delivering high‑quality sales support, analysis and coordination to help drive institutional client engagement and sales outcomes across the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Working closely with the Institutional Sales team, you will support sales activity, manage client, and pipeline information, prepare materials for client interactions, and develop a strong understanding of Perpetual’s investment capabilities and institutional client base.

This role is well suited to someone early in their asset management career who is highly organised, analytically minded and passionate about institutional funds management.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of day‑to‑day support to the Institutional Sales team

  • Manage and analyse information including funds flow data, consultant ratings and reports to identify sales opportunities

  • Prepare and maintain high‑quality sales materials, presentations and briefing notes

  • Develop detailed knowledge of Perpetual products, capabilities, and competitor offerings

  • Maintain CRM records including contacts, activity, notes, and pipeline management

  • Coordinate the institutional calendar, portfolio review meetings, and account planning activities

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications (e.g. FINSIA, DFP) desirable

  • RG146 desirable

  • CIMA or equivalent strongly preferred

  • At least 2 years’ experience within financial services, ideally within funds management or asset management

  • A sound understanding of the funds management industry and investment management concepts

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market, product, and client information

  • Excellent organisational, time management and attention‑to‑detail skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence working with internal and external stakeholders

  • A demonstrated passion for asset management and a desire to build a long‑term career in institutional sales
