Account Director (6-month short term contract)

About the Role
The Account Director is a seasoned professional with a strong background in healthcare communications, account management and client services. This individual is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. They collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic account plans, maintain strong client relationships, and address client needs and concerns. With excellent communication and problem-solving skills, the Account Director plays a crucial role in the success of the organization and requires a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Manages and oversees the execution of client projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Collaborates with internal teams to develop strategic and tactical plans for clients, focusing on short-to mid-term time frames.
- Develops new products, processes, standards, or operational plans in support of the job function strategy.
- Leads and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, procedures, and goals.
- Supporting the Client Services Director by suggesting and making improvements to team processes, systems, or offerings to enhance the performance of the team.
- Manages projects with greater complexity and/or scope.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
- 5–7+ years’ experience in healthcare communications, agency environment preferred
- Strong background in account management and client services
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and complex projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercially driven with an eye for growth opportunities
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead through ambiguity
