About the team

Stripe Billing sales org is tasked with attacking a $100B market opportunity for automating the entire order to cash process. Billing Sales is a team of deep functional and technical specialists who both lead and advise on deals for one of the most strategically important products in Stripe’s portfolio.

What you’ll do

As an Account Executive, Billing (Enterprise) at Stripe, you will use your sales and product expertise to drive revenue growth by building relationships with prospective users and turning them into happy Stripe customers. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and closing to and identifying new opportunities to expand Stripe’s customer base. You will collaborate with the marketing, product marketing, and product teams to develop deep product and industry knowledge and drive strategic deals. You will be instrumental in leading in depth product discussions with prospective customers – and building and executing against our go to market strategy.

We’re looking for someone who can execute on long-term sales strategies, engage with internal and external stakeholders, align on technical and business requirements with product teams, build value in competitive situations, lead commercial negotiations, and close deals.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Stripe prospects and customers to drive growth through expansion and new revenue streams 
  • Own the full sales cycle, from business case development, to deal structuring and negotiating, to close
  • Drive deal strategy and commercial negotiations for large, complex new business deals 
  • Develop relationships with executive stakeholders within your book of business, deeply understanding problems they are solving and helping drive to solutions
  • Be responsible for account mapping and coordinating effective meetings with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders 
  • Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine our sales process and help shape the Stripe sales culture
Who you are

You are an adept salesperson, capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organisation, including CEO, CFO, and CTO. You are used to building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on complex products that require deep product understanding, combined with technical knowledge. You’re an organised self-starter, an excellent communicator who is highly analytical and has a track record for improving processes around you.

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 8+ years of sales experience, preferably selling billing or financial products, with a track record of top performance
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and craft comprehensive solutions and utilise  strategic thinking to solve complex customer problems
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally across strategic business transformation projects
  • The ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
  • An enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality
  • Strong presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
  • Strong interest in technology and a deep understanding of billing solutions
  • You are authentic & bring your own style/sense of humour to any organisation! 
Preferred qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience specifically in selling revenue cloud, billing & invoicing, accounting solutions
  • Proven ability to sell complex software and hardware
