We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Electronics Australia as our Account Manager, Residential Channels (Air Conditioning), where you will drive growth, innovation and change in the NSW market.
In this role, you will develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to achieve air conditioning sales objectives sold through all channels in NSW, with flexibility to include but not limited to Electrical Distributors, Retail, and Air Conditioning Specialists (Residential and Contractor).
You will be expected to have an understanding of the industry, market trends, and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies and achieve sales targets.

Role and Responsibilities

Sales Planning and Account Management

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans with clients, aligning with top-line corporate objectives. This includes translating division targets into detailed weekly and monthly forecasts and account plans.

  • Drive Account Net Sales results and optimize ROI by managing account investments and negotiating product terms and promotional plans, ensuring alignment with national campaigns.

  • Provide actionable insights by gathering and analysing financial, sales, and market data, and by closely monitoring competitor activity, including pricing and promotions.

  • Enhance retailer capability and drive in-store execution of retail strategy and promotional activities by planning and executing product training programs for staff, and by setting clear priorities and direction for State Managers and field teams.

  • Manage all aspects of the order-to-cash cycle, including processing orders and ensuring timely resolution of credit claims.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional customer engagement with Marcoms, Retail Management and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with account strategy and market requirement.

  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to develop account ranging strategies.

  • Ensure optimal forecast fulfillment and inventory levels by coordinating CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) performance with the supply chain management team.

  • Drive process improvement across sales planning, order and claims processing, and resource allocation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You must have a current and valid Australian driver's license, as some travelling will be required in this role

  • 5+ years of relevant Account Management experience, preferably in the consumer electronics industry

  • Technical understanding of air conditioning products and industry is highly preferred

  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets, with strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and building strong customer relationships

  • High level of business acumen with a strong ability to communicate effectively across all levels of business

  • Consultative and influential selling style with an ability to sell technical products

The nature of this role and level of responsibility may require reasonable additional hours over and above 37.5 hours per week and may also require work outside of ordinary hours.
