Business unit: Ogilvy Advertising

Team: Account Management

Location: Sydney

Employment type: Permanent

We are a team of creative and strategic minds, driven by our purpose to create enduring brands and emerging ideas.

We partner with our clients to deliver strategic, creative work we are proud of.

We learn together, create together, win together, and most importantly, have fun together.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Ogilvy Sydney is hiring an Account Manager to join the team behind one of the world’s most iconic and recognised consumer brands. You’ll work on a high-profile global account with the scale, ambition and creative opportunity to make work that gets seen, talked about and experienced by millions of people.

Sitting at the heart of one of Ogilvy’s largest global client partnerships, this is a genuinely integrated role. You’ll help connect the dots across creative, strategy, social, PR, media, experience, production and more, giving you exposure to a breadth of disciplines that’s hard to find in a traditional account management role.

No two days look quite the same. The work moves fast, spans everything from major brand campaigns to culture, content and experiences, and gives you the chance to learn quickly, build broad experience and grow your career on a truly global piece of business.

You’ll be joining a brilliant, tight-knit team that is supportive, collaborative and low-ego. We work hard, back each other, share the wins and make sure we have plenty of fun along the way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Help keep the day-to-day account running brilliantly, including internal and client WIPs, workflow, meetings, actions, estimates and project records
  • Build a deep understanding of the client’s business, brands, audiences and competitive landscape, becoming someone the team and client can rely on
  • Help turn client challenges and opportunities into clear, inspiring briefs, working closely with the Senior Account Director and strategy team
  • Bring integrated teams together to move work forward, collaborating across creative, strategy, social, PR, media, experience and production to deliver brilliant work on time and on budget
  • Build strong, trusted client relationships, keeping stakeholders close to the work, anticipating what’s needed and making every interaction feel organised, proactive and solutions-focused

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Previous account management experience within a creative, advertising or integrated agency environment, with a desire to broaden your experience across disciplines
  • Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to see the bigger picture and keep multiple integrated workstreams moving smoothly
  • Genuine curiosity about brands, culture, creativity and what makes great work effective, with the confidence to contribute ideas and perspectives
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the energy to thrive in a fast-moving account
  • The ability to turn client feedback, conversations and changing inputs into clear, actionable next steps for the wider team
  • A collaborative, low-ego mindset and the confidence to build relationships across different disciplines, personalities and levels of seniority
  • Calmness under pressure, resilience when priorities shift, and a proactive instinct to solve problems rather than wait for answers
  • An appetite to learn. This role offers unusual exposure to how a major global brand comes to life across channels, so curiosity and a willingness to get stuck into new disciplines will take you far

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT:

You’ll get the scale of a global account, the variety of an integrated role and the support of a team that genuinely wants you to grow.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE OGILVY:

  • Global opportunities – Access career pathways, projects and connections across the Ogilvy and WPP network.
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave – Gender-neutral leave for all parents and caregivers.
  • Leading AI tools – Exclusive access to WPP Open, our global AI platform.
  • Inclusive culture – A workplace where everyone can belong and thrive.
  • Career development – Personalised growth plans, coaching and ongoing learning opportunities.
  • Extra time off – Birthday leave, Summer Fridays and loyalty leave.
  • Wellbeing support – Health and fitness discounts, wellbeing programs and mindfulness resources.
  • Employee Assistance Program – Free and confidential counselling support.
  • Recognition and rewards – Celebrating great work and long-term contribution.
  • Referral bonuses – Earn rewards for introducing great talent.
  • Exclusive discounts – Savings on major brands through perkSPACE.

At Ogilvy, inclusivity is essential to our success. We're committed to building a workplace that embraces various perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds, knowing that diverse teams drive more impactful work.

We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Māori, people with disabilities, diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, all ages, genders, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, nationalities, and family structures.

We believe everyone thrives when they can be themselves. We provide equal opportunities and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
