The role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Account Manager with start-up and/or SaaS experience to join our growing Sydney team. This role is pivotal in connecting our software development teams with our Australian clients. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate complexity in the energy transition and translating their business needs into impactful outcomes through the Modo Energy platform. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients across developers, utilities, funds, and energy traders in the Australian market.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, focusing on account growth, retention, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Guide clients in leveraging Modo Energy’s software suite to construct long-term power market scenarios, supporting them in interpreting complex outputs and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with global teams to align resources with client goals and provide feedback that informs product development.
  • Gather and communicate client feedback and market-specific insights to the product team, contributing to roadmap priorities for Australia and beyond.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years’ experience in customer success, account management, or sales, ideally within SaaS, energy, or tech.
  • Proven experience driving account growth or managing revenue targets.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS products; interest in Australian power markets and the energy transition is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communicator, able to simplify complex ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled in process management and delivery of time-sensitive projects.
  • Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable engaging senior decision-makers across the energy ecosystem.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to a start-up environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM/customer success tools to monitor client health and track opportunities.

  • We are an in-person company that values collaboration and team culture. Everyone works in the office Tuesday through Thursday, with flexibility to work from home or the office on Mondays and Fridays.
