The Opportunity
The purpose of the Accountant is to effectively perform the accounting role and responsibilities in Finance for the iNova business in countries under AMENA. Ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financials and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger.
Key Accountabilities
1. Financial Reporting and Accounting
- Perform account receivable function and improve the credit control of the customers.
- Manage fixed assets register such as asset depreciation, capex expenditure and in accordance with local FRS requirements.
- Prepare and manage WHT submission to IRAS.
- Prepare the GST report for submission for Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
- Liaise with tax agent on yearly tax submission and draft tax computations including Annual Year-End Tax Package.
- Manage and ensure monthly closing process is in accordance with local FRS requirements and internal timeframes.
- Review and analyze the balance sheet and P&L statement, highlight to the Finance Manager if there is any abnormality.
- Perform analysis on Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Flux and update on TM1 portal.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on Blackline portal.
- Liaise with External auditors on annual audit and annual reporting matters.
- Preparation of consolidated financial statement for statutory reporting.
2. Other
- Support Finance manager on payment matters.
- Liaise with AP outsource team on AP related matters.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Other projects as and when required.
- Support implementation of new financial policies
- Adherence to compliance, policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Open for one (1) year contract appointment with chance to be absorbed to regular appointment after
- Possess a Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent. CPA/CA desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office including strong Excel skills.
- Good working knowledge of SAP required. Experience in Blackline will be an advantage.
- At least 5 - 8 years of experience in financial accounting.
- Working knowledge of taxation and treasury will be an advantage.
- Experienced working in an MNC environment
- Regional accounting exposure particularly AMENA is desirable.
