WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking candidates eager to enhance their experience through practical, hands-on work in the accounting field. ADL is offering an opportunity for an Accounting Intern to assist with tasks such as bank reconciliations, preparing monthly financial statements, income tax returns, and participating in other special projects. 

We offer a paid, part-time internship aimed at equipping you with essential skills and real-world experience across a variety of accounting and finance functions within our firm.

As an intern, you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, contributing to our shared goal of helping clients achieve long-term business profitability, maximizing their wealth, and fostering the growth of regional economies.

In your role as an Accounting Intern at ADL, you’ll take on general financial accounting tasks and may also support payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.

Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and have completed at least one year of accounting courses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
  • Prepare journal entries and record cash receipts
  • Review and monitor daily financial transactions
  • Analyze agreements for relevance to assigned general ledger accounts
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end closings and variance analysis of financial statements
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as needed
Work Authorization:

An Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Resident or able to provide evidence of full working rights.

This is a remote position. Due to the sensitive nature of our client data, candidates must consent to background checks, fitness for duty evaluations, and other relevant screenings as part of the onboarding and recruitment process.

Job Type: Internship/Entry Level
Location: Remote (Part-Time)
Hours: This is a part-time position requiring approximately 10 hours per week with flexible hours. No prior experience is necessary, as we will provide full training to the selected candidate.

Compensation:  A$1,200 Bi-weekly
