Job Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounting Intern will focus on specific projects that are required by the team to meet Magna requirements and support our overall team goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.• Assist with month-end financial reporting.• Utilize computerized accounting software programs.• Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents.• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.• Perform any other duties deemed appropriate for the position, as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• High School Diploma.• Currently Attending a College or University.• College Junior or Senior (or Master's student) working toward a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.• Proficient Computer knowledge and skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).• Proficient Communication skills (written and verbal).• Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.• This position will require a certain number of days in the Troy office.
Who we are looking for:• Some related experience preferred, but would be willing to train the right candidate.
