About the Role 

Hastings Deering is seeking a motivated and professional Administrator to join our Darwin Branch. This position provides highquality customer service, administrative support, and operational assistance across a range of business functions.

This is a Permanent Full Time position working Monday – Friday out of our Darwin branch. 

As an Administrator, some of your responsibilities may include 

  • Greeting customers, contractors and visitors with a friendly, professional attitude 

  • Answer and direct nonParts incoming calls promptly and courteously 

  • Manage mail and provide general office and administrative support 

  • Support contractor and vendor onboarding and compliance requirements (e.g. Rapid Global) 

  • Assist with procurement processes, creation of purchase requisitions, and purchasing activities 

  • Support accounts administration and Cash Sale management, including EFTPOS and banking reconciliation 

  • Coordinate travel, rooms booking and organise catering as required. 

  • Provide administrative support to the Administration Team Leader, Area Manager, and operational departments, including Reman and Parts as required. 

  • Prepare weekly business and safety statistics and maintain relevant communication boards 

  • Perform other office support and ad hoc tasks as needed

About You  

A successful teammate will have experience in:   

  • Proven administrative work history with demonstratable experience. 

  • A strong commitment to teamwork, service delivery, and building effective working relationships with staff and management. 

  • High attention to detail with efficient data entry skills and the ability to work accurately in a fastpaced environment. 

  • Welldeveloped verbal and written communication skills, supported by effective timemanagement and prioritisation abilities. 

  • The confidence to show initiative, solve problems, and make sound decisions when required. 

  • An understanding of job workflow processes and SIP systems (or the ability to learn quickly) 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using ERP or AX business systems. 

  • Qualifications in Business or Office Administration (desirable but not essential).
