The opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia is looking to resource a Product Support - Support Equipment to support the E-7A Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft to. The E-7A is a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system.
This position applies basic engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to perform product support engineering and analysis to ensure supportability, sustainability, and operability of products and services throughout its lifecycle.
This role is essential for ensuring that the E-7A program has the necessary support equipment inclusive of tools, test equipment and associated logistics data to operate effectively, contributing to the overall success of the program.
This role is based in Brisbane

These attributes will contribute to the candidate's effectiveness in the role, enabling them to navigate complexities while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. The E-7A Support Equipment Analyst plays a critical role within the Boeing Defence Australia (BDA).
Responsibilities
  • Support Equipment Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of Support Equipment (SE) identification and provide design information together with the more detailed description and justification required for Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD).
  • Logistics Product Data Preparation: Prepare Logistics Product Data (LPD) by utilizing Product Support Analysis (PSA) techniques, ensuring that all data meets the program's provisioning requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively within the E-7A Product Support team, following guidance and contributing to team objectives.
  • Provisioning Requirements: Ensure that all analyses and reports align with the program's provisioning requirements, facilitating effective logistics support.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize technical knowledge and analytical skills to support the development, identification and maintenance of support equipment, ensuring operational readiness.
  • Follow quality process(es) and system(s) to ensure the LPD is complete and accurate IAW team plans, process and GEIA-STD-0007C, GEIA-HB-0007B and the US Air Force Initial Provisioning Performance Specification (IPPS)
  • Collaborating with E-7A Product Support team members, responsible for self-quality checks and highlighting process improvements to Team Lead; and
  • Working closely with Senior Product Support Analysis Technical Leads to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks to achieve project deliveries.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications
  • Engineering qualifications or 2 or more years' experience in either, aircraft maintenance, operational or supply support environments, 737 or E-7A platform knowledge desirable
  • Experience/training in developing GEIA- STD-0007C, MIL-STD-1388, DEF (AUST) 5691/5692, Logistics Product Data is highly desirable, however training, mentoring and support from Subject Matter Experts is available
  • Eligibility for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance
  • Current Australian Citizenship
