This isn't traditional consulting or pure software engineering - it's a hybrid model built for the complexity of real-world AI deployment, where you're accountable for outcomes, not just deliverables. 

 

This role blends deep engineering expertise with consultative engagement, enabling you to deliver tailored solutions that drive measurable business outcomes You’ll operate in dynamic environments, working closely with client teams, often on-site, to scope, prototype, and deploy solutions at speed. You’ll leverage cutting-edge technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic AI architectures, policy-as-code, and multi-agent ecosystems, while feeding insights back into Kyndryl’s platforms and frameworks to accelerate future deployments.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Customer Engagement: Partner with clients to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions. 

  • Rapid Prototyping: Build and iterate custom AI solutions tailored to client needs, leveraging agentic AI frameworks. 

  • Deployment & Integration: Deliver production-ready solutions on customer infrastructure, ensuring seamless adoption. 

  • Optimization: Troubleshoot and enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability. 

  • Trusted Partner: Take extreme ownership of customer outcomes, acting as an extension of their team rather than an external advisor. 

  • Solution Integrity: Prioritise delivering the right solution over the fastest one - quality and fit-for-purpose outcomes matter more than volume. 

  • Field Intelligence: Systematically capture deployment learnings and feed insights back into Kyndryl's core platforms and frameworks. 

  • Adaptability: Operate effectively in ambiguous environments, balancing speed with responsible AI principles. 

  • End-to-End Ownership: Own the full delivery lifecycle from scoping through to production, with accountability for measurable business outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Ideally ~10 years; flexibility for candidates with strong AI expertise.
  • T-shaped profile: deep technical expertise in 1-2 areas with breadth across AI/ML, cloud, and consulting disciplines. 

  • Agentic AI Expertise: Experience building or integrating multi-agent systems, orchestration layers, or frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Agent Framework, AutoGen, CrewAI). 

  • Advanced AI Knowledge: Familiarity with LLMs, reinforcement learning, symbolic reasoning, planning algorithms, and multi-modal AI. 

  • Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in Python and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other models available via Hugging Face). 

  • Generative AI Applications: Hands-on experience with models like GPT, Stable Diffusion, or BERT. 

  • Software Engineering: Solid understanding of SDLC, version control (Git & GitHub), and data engineering tools (Pandas, Spark). 

  • Cloud & Distributed Systems: Experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, Google AI) and distributed computing. 

  • Performance & Security: Knowledge of system-level optimization and security principles for AI systems at scale. 

  • Consulting & Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build strong client relationships. 

  • Business Acumen: Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions and articulate technical value in business terms, stakeholder management across technical and executive audiences. 

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed. 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
