The role requires an experienced Agile Scrum Master with dual objectives of delivering the desired business outcomes and assisting to lift the agile capability across the client team.  Whilst part of a CT delivery team, the scrum master is expected to be able to lead pieces of the engagement and be an explemplar of agile delivery. 


Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Run the Scrum process end to end across the agreed number of teams, ensuring smooth delivery and alignment with Agile principles.
  • Facilitate all key Scrum ceremonies impartially and objectively, including Refinement, Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Showcases, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Foster team cohesion and a strong sense of shared responsibility within each team.
  • Educate teams on Agile methodology, including the purpose, benefits, and best practices of each Scrum ritual.
  • Create, update, and manage Agile governance artefacts such as the Social Contract, Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), and any other artefacts as agreed with the client.
  • Configure and manage Scrum teams within Azure DevOps or TFS, ensuring the environment is set up effectively for collaboration and delivery.
  • Facilitate the Scrum process within Azure DevOps/TFS, maintaining visibility of progress and blockers.
  • Create and manage Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks to support transparent and traceable delivery.
  • Identify, log, and manage risks and impediments, working proactively to resolve issues.
  • Set up iterations and configure Agile boards (Epic, Feature, and Task) to reflect project workflow and priorities.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to visualise Agile progress, team performance, and delivery health.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience running and delivering using scrum on 2+ engagements in different companies.
  • Experience liaising, communicating with and presenting to C/Senior executive (at least Assistant Secretary in the federal space).
  • Experience managing people/teams/preferably software development teams.
  • Experience in consulting.
  • Experience/understanding of Organisational change management (ADKAR, Proscii).
  • Experience/understanding of IT Service Management (change, release, incident, problem, CMDB). 
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), automated release and deployment.
