Join Us at a Defining Moment

At Intelligen, we’re building something different. Over the past three years, we’ve evolved from a bold startup to a trusted partner for some of Australia’s most complex data transformations. We’ve helped organisations move from legacy to modern platforms, embedded governance into decision-making, and brought AI into the hands of the business, responsibly and at speed.

But we’re just getting started. As we scale into our next phase of growth, we’re looking for senior team members who don’t just want to deliver great solutions, but help shape the future of data and AI capability across the Asia-Pacific region.

We’re now expanding our presence across APAC, and we’re looking for an experienced AI Architect to help lead the design and delivery of modern AI and data platforms across the region.

About the Role

We’re looking for an AI Architect, based in Sydney, who can work across APAC clients to design and deliver scalable, secure, and business-aligned AI solutions built on the Microsoft ecosystem, with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric.

You’ll bring deep architecture capability across data, analytics, and AI, along with strong consulting skills and stakeholder engagement experience. You will work closely with business leaders, technology teams, data practitioners, and delivery squads to shape modern platform strategies and architect end-to-end solutions that enable trusted, production-ready AI.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an agile environment, can confidently work across cultures and time zones, and is excited by the opportunity to help scale something from the ground up.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the architecture and design of AI and data solutions for 1-2 clients across Australia (Microsoft ecosystem)
  • Design modern, scalable solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, and the broader Microsoft AI stack
  • Define end-to-end architecture patterns across data ingestion, transformation, semantic modelling, governance, machine learning, and AI enablement
  • Support the design of enterprise AI use cases including predictive analytics, generative AI, copilots, and intelligent automation
  • Translate business and functional requirements into well-structured, secure, and scalable architecture designs
  • Guide clients on platform modernisation and migration strategies into Microsoft Fabric and Azure-native environments
  • Establish architecture guardrails, design standards, and best practices across performance, security, governance, and operational support
  • Collaborate with engineering and consulting teams to ensure solutions are delivered in line with architecture intent and business outcomes
  • Support data governance, lineage, quality, and compliance initiatives through Microsoft-centric capabilities such as Purview and Fabric
  • Contribute to project planning, solution design, and delivery execution across a range of client engagements
  • Support pre-sales, solution shaping, proposal development, and client workshops as we continue to grow our APAC footprint

Requirements
    • 7+ years’ experience in data, analytics, AI, or architecture roles, with strong consulting or client-facing exposure
    • Proven experience designing enterprise data and AI solutions on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric
    • Strong understanding of Fabric capabilities including Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, OneLake, and Power BI
    • Experience architecting modern AI solutions using Azure AI services, Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, or Microsoft Copilot-related patterns
    • Strong understanding of data architecture principles including medallion design, semantic modelling, master data, metadata, lineage, and governance
    • Experience with Microsoft Purview and enterprise data governance practices is highly regarded
    • Strong knowledge of cloud security, access models, privacy, and responsible AI considerations within Microsoft environments
    • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate strategy into practical architecture and delivery plans
    • Excellent communication, written and spoken
    • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and collaboratively across distributed teams
    • A mindset of curiosity, delivery excellence, and continuous learning

Benefits

We’re not just delivering AI and data projects.. we’re humanising them. That means we care deeply about the how, not just the what. We value curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to challenge the status quo. We look for people who are driven to build a business, get curious, and offer opinions and ideas.

You’ll join a team that’s smart, kind, and ambitious. You’ll have real influence - in your projects, your practice, and the broader business. And as we grow, so will you. Here’s what that looks like:

Grow With Purpose

  • Structured development pathways so you always know what you’re working toward.
  • Paid certifications across all major cloud and data technologies (mastery matters)
  • Weekly training and knowledge exchanges where practitioners share real project insights.

Support That Helps You Thrive

  • A dedicated support lead to mentor, guide and help you navigate your career
  • Regular 360° feedback loops, giving you clear direction and honest insight into your progress.

A Community You’ll Enjoy Being Part Of

  • Innovation days where you can experiment, prototype and sharpen new skills.
  • Team days, social catchups,  many new community clubs…
  • Opportunities to lead, influence and shape our growing practice as we expand across the region.

If you want to be part of a team that cares just as much about how we deliver as what we deliver; where curiosity is valued, ideas matter, and your impact is felt - drop us a message and start the conversation today.
