Who we are looking for:

As part of the Alternate Investments GTS team we are looking for resources that will be focused on the client onboarding and support of our Production applications, with an eye on the Client experience. This role is particularly focused on support of business migrations to our strategic platforms for accounting and reconciliation.  Much of support will focus on ensuring stability of these new platforms, reducing work through automation,  enhancing business/client experience and ensuring the permanent closure of incidents.

What you will be responsible for:

As an AVP in this role you will

  • Focus on transition of clients to our new accounting and recon platforms – helping to ensure good client experience by maintaining stability
  • Troubleshoot Major Incidents, involving and engaging all necessary teams, create post mortems, and ensure closure of incident
  • Ensure Client SLAs/SLOs are met - Manage deliverables for critical applications by working with Business users and understand the SLA’s
  • Engage with tools and operations teams to address failure patterns and incidents.
  • Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
  • Identify areas for automation in order to reduce manual operational work
  • Participate in the 24x7 support coverage as needed
  • Understand and identify application process flow and analytics in support of better service level objectives
  • Work with upstream and downstream teams to identify service flows and identify improvement opportunities
  • Design and develop automation /self-healing and resiliency patterns
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues with the Application across Client environments
  • Timely engagement of required teams on Incident call
  • Respond to user issues, working with the Development team or external support teams for the resolution
  • Work with Technical team members to identify and implement automated process improvements using appropriate scripting utilities
  • Collaborate with Dev/L4s on incident/issue triages and release/change review meetings
  • Work with the Data Delivery team in monitoring the Data delivery application, ensuring files to and from clients are received and delivered to meet SLA’s
  • Strong documentation skills when logging product issues, which includes observations, diagnoses, action steps, and tracking errors.
  • Strong communication skills while collaborating across various departments in providing clear, regular updates related to issues

  • Able to multitask and debug logs in distributed and multi-threaded apps is a huge plus
  • Knowledge about supporting workflow management systems is a strong plus
  • Knowledge about supporting performance systems is a strong plus
  • Understanding of the software deliver lifecycle using Agile practices
  • Proficiency  in at least one  programming language  ( e.g. Python, Java, Go etc..)
  • Hands on  experience  with deployment, monitoring, automation  and ops analysis tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, Dynatrace Managed
  • Have skills in data interpretation as well as be able to analyze various financial products
  • Leadership experience working across multiple teams with a strategic mindset

Education and Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred
  • 5 – 7 years hands on Production support experience
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and attention to details skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Must be deadline oriented with the ability to provide technical expertise to resolve daily problems.
