We are seeking a motivated and experienced AM Operations Supervisor to join our high-performing team at Banksmeadow. In this key leadership role, you'll oversee critical early-morning operations, ensuring that our freight flows smoothly, safely, and on time—every time.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead from the front, influence operational excellence, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and support a frontline team of dockhands and forklift operators in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure safety is the #1 priority through active leadership, toolbox talks, and daily assessments
- Drive performance by managing labor, scheduling, and ensuring daily KPIs are met
- Champion best practices in freight handling, scanning accuracy, and compliance
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including linehaul, PUD, and customer service teams
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across your shift
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operational discipline
- Manage pre-starts, absenteeism, and payroll approvals in line with business processes
About You
You’re a confident leader with a passion for operations and a proven ability to get the best out of your team. You thrive in early starts and love being hands-on, proactive, and solutions focused.
You’ll bring:
- 1–2 years of frontline or shift leadership experience (transport or logistics preferred)
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of warehouse and/or freight operations
- Familiarity with safety systems, risk management, and compliance
- Computer literacy and ability to work with scanning/RF devices
- Dangerous Goods awareness or willingness to obtain
