Analyst – Specialised Agribusiness Solutions | Sydney CBD

Are you someone who’s curious about how businesses really operate — and motivated to play a part in helping them grow?

Join our Specialised Agribusiness Solutions (SAS) team in Sydney, where you’ll partner with some of Australia’s most dynamic corporate agribusiness clients. From pre-farm gate producers through to post-farm gate operators, our clients sit at the heart of an industry that feeds and fuels the nation — and we’re proud to help them thrive.

See yourself in our team

In SAS, we take a partnership-first approach. We work closely with high-value agribusiness clients across Australia, providing tailored financing and advisory solutions that support sustainable growth and long-term success.

You’ll be surrounded by a team that’s collaborative, commercially minded, and genuinely invested in developing one another. It’s a space where your voice is valued, your thinking is encouraged, and your growth is supported.

Do work that matters

As an Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting and strengthening client relationships while building your own capability across corporate agribusiness banking.

You’ll get exposure to a broad range of complex and interesting work — from financial modelling and credit analysis through to working on tailored funding solutions across asset finance, trade, and capital structures. No two clients are the same, which means no two days are either.

Working alongside experienced Directors, you’ll help bring client strategies to life — contributing to credit submissions, annual reviews and transaction execution — while building a deep understanding of each client’s business and industry.

You’ll be encouraged to think commercially, ask questions, and contribute ideas that add real value — not just support work from the sidelines.

Your impact

You won’t just be number crunching (although there’s plenty of that too). You’ll be:

  • Helping shape solutions that support some of Australia’s leading agribusinesses
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with agribusiness clients and agriculture industry stakeholders
  • Developing insights through financial analysis and industry research
  • Contributing to new business opportunities and portfolio growth
  • Learning how to balance commercial outcomes with risk and compliance

We’d love to hear from you if you bring…

A genuine interest in the agriculture industry, agribusiness banking, and a curiosity for how things work.

You might already have experience in financial modelling, credit analysis, or banking — or you might be earlier in your career with strong analytical capability and a willingness to learn.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships are just as important as technical expertise here. We’re looking for people who can ask great questions, collaborate well, and bring a thoughtful, customer-focused approach.

A background in Business, Commerce, Finance or Accounting will set you up well — but just as important is your mindset and motivation to grow.

A note on applying

We know great candidates don’t always tick every box — and that confidence doesn’t always show up equally across various backgrounds.

If this role feels like a stretch in some areas but excites you in others, we’d genuinely love to hear from you. We’re building a diverse and inclusive team, and we’re committed to supporting your growth along the way.

If you're already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you'll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application. We’re keen to support you with the next step in your career.

What you need to know about the Sydney Tech Scene

From opera to comedy shows, the Sydney Opera House hosts more than 1,600 performances a year, yet its entertainment sector isn't the only one taking center stage. The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region. More specifically, its IT sector stands out as the country's third-largest, growing at twice the rate of overall employment in the past decade as businesses continue to digitize their operations to stay competitive.
