Job Description
About the role
This role supports the Brookfield Infrastructure Group’s portfolio management team in key finance functions across corporate and operating asset entities for the Asia Pacific region.
The objective of the team is to partner effectively with our Asia Pacific operating businesses and internal stakeholders to drive performance, generate value, and act as a trusted resource on financial matters. The incumbent is accountable in supporting the Portfolio Management team to build a ‘best in class’ finance function and to provide assistance in the financial due diligence workstreams of any potential acquisitions and divestments of the Asia Pacific infrastructure group.
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of timely, high-quality FP&A reporting, including monthly forecasting, operational reporting, capital project analysis, and KPI tracking for Asia Pacific operating entities
- Assist in the annual business planning process, including preparation and analysis of financial models
- Prepare and maintain quarterly business valuation models under guidance, including sensitivity analysis and benchmarking
- Assist with the review and compilation of quarterly and annual financial reporting submissions by operating businesses
- Develop a strong understanding of operating businesses to support analysis of performance and strategic initiatives
- Contribute to the preparation of technical accounting memorandums under supervision
- Provide support on due diligence, onboarding of new acquisitions, and divestiture activities
- Assist with cashflow forecasting, monitoring debt covenants, and supporting financing activities across the operating businesses
- Help identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial reporting processes
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements for corporate holding entities and related reconciliations
- Support the preparation of external or regulatory reporting requirements
- Participate in ad-hoc strategic analysis and special projects as required
About you
- At least 3 years work experience post-graduation
- CA/CPA qualified
- Strong knowledge and competency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with core corporate finance principles, including financial modelling and valuations
- Previous experience in aggregation and consolidation of financial reports
- Previous experience in acquisition and disposal accounting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical mindset with sound problem-solving skills
- Well-organised with the ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills
