Job Description

Salary Range: Starting from 230,0000 SGD base per annum + RSUs

We’re looking for an Analytics Director for the APAC Squad who is passionate about our mission of Money Without Borders, to lead a high-impact analytics team that is central to building out the product roadmap for this major Region. This is a unique opportunity to drive decision making in a diverse, high-potential region!

You’ll report to the Global Senior Analytics Director for Regional Expansion, and partner daily with the Product, Banking and Engineering leads for the APAC squad. Together, you will form a cross-functional group of key decision makers who own the challenge of driving the product roadmap in this Region. You’ll also be part of the Analytics community within Wise, giving you access to a global network of analytics professionals.

You’ll lead a team of c.10 passionate product analysts and support them to partner across product teams to drive data-led decision making and ensure robust measurement of the impact of the work we do! You will also support them in identifying insights to inform our planning process - all to ensure that we are enhancing our customer’s experience across the diverse countries in the APAC region.

If you’ve previously led or helped to build analytics teams in fast-paced, scaling, global companies - we’d love to hear from you.

Problems you’ll solve in this role:

  • Support the APAC squad to address the most important challenges for the Region using data and insights, and building relevant KPIs to measure impact and hold ourselves accountable

  • Develop, coach and support a talented analytics team, unblocking them to influence the strategic roadmap for the Region

  • Refine the analytical vision and plan for APAC and contribute to the Regional Analytics strategy globally (we are solving similarly complex problems across all Regions)

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Be part of a positive change in the world. Current banking systems don’t let us send, spend or receive money across borders easily. Or quickly. Or cheaply.  So we’re building a new one. Our mission is to make money without borders the new normal

  • Have a significant impact by shaping the next phase of analytics in a fast-paced, scaling, global company

  • Learn from a global network of professionals. We have a large, diverse team of analysts and data scientists that you will work with and learn from by being part of the Analytics community

  • Use all your experience and skills to bring new thinking and ideas to how we build an outstanding analytics function

Qualifications

  • Experienced Analytics leader who has successfully built analytics functions in fast-paced, scaling, global companies (ideally at the scale of 10+ people teams, including other leads).

  • Makes the complex simple by building and telling stories with data to drive data-led org-level change

  • Led, developed, supported and grown a team of analysts enabling them to effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders and build trusted relationships

  • Hands-on data manipulation and analysis experience including scripting/coding (and coaching others) in SQL and Python (or R)

  • Co-owned team wide projects, helping to bring teams together to plan around problems with KPIs that make a difference

  • Would be amazing if you've practically used + applied AI / machine learning techniques and built predictive models to get deeper insight

Additional Information

For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders  — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.

We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
