What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales, change is part of our DNA. While your role will evolve over time, here's a flavour of what you'll be working on when you start:

• Building SEO Data Pipelines: Develop, maintain, and improve data pipelines to ensure SEO data is available, accurate, and optimised for insights.
• Enhancing SEO Data Models: Build and refine SEO-related data models in the data warehouse, ensuring scalability and compliance with platform standards.
• Streamlining Processes: Create automation solutions to simplify reporting and analytics processes, freeing up time for high-value work.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with SEO specialists, product managers, data scientists, and engineers to align on projects and deliverables.

You're probably a match if...

• You have proven experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a similar role.
• You're proficient in SQL and have experience working with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• You have experience building data pipelines and working with ETL/ELT or reverse ETL tools like dbt, Airflow, Census or similar.
• You have worked with programming languages such as Python to create data integrations with API endpoints.
• You understand the needs of product teams and are comfortable translating their requirements into data solutions.
• You thrive on collaboration and can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You are comfortable owning, tracking, and delivering goals, working both independently and in teams

The SEO & Page Experience group's mission is to empower every user in the world to discover Canva and inspire them to create their next design (whether it is a social media post, a presentation, a video or hundreds of other options). Spreading our efforts globally (we have people on the ground in 20+ countries), SEO drives an average of 40 million new logged out sessions and 7 million new MAUs every quarter.
The SEO & PE Data team works closely with product teams to unlock the power of data, supporting page launches, measuring impact, and driving actionable insights. Working with our world-class SEO team is a unique opportunity - you'll be exposed to the newest Canva products, the most innovative SEO systems and exciting creative challenges!
