About the opportunity

We are looking for two Analytics Specialists to step into pivotal roles at the forefront of advanced analytics and AI driven insights. The roles sit within the Advanced Analytics, Planning & Enterprise Data, part of the Office of the Vice-President (Operations) where you’ll help shape the University’s data and AI capabilities by designing intelligent solutions, developing AI agents, and unlocking insights that improve the staff and student experience. You’ll collaborate with a vibrant community of analytics and AI experts, using modern analytical techniques to build high‑impact, agentic AI ‑based products that guide strategic decision‑making across the institution.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges and deliver targeted analytics and AI‑enabled solutions

  • Apply best‑practice techniques using Python, SQL and modern data platforms to analyse, model and process data

  • Develop robust data models for reporting, advanced analytics and AI solutions, ensuring they are accurate, scalable and aligned to stakeholder needs

  • Develop and implement sustainable analytics products, including AI agents that enhance automation and insight generation

  • Present insights using tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Excel for diverse audiences

  • Provide data‑driven recommendations that support strategic teaching, research and operational decisions

  • Contribute to data quality initiatives, continuous improvement and operational excellence across analytics workflows

About you:

  • Advanced Python coding skills, including experience building analytical models, automation workflows and production‑ready solutions

  • Hands‑on experience developing AI agents or applied AI solutions

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities

  • Experience with analytics tools, databases and data visualisation platforms

  • A proactive, collaborative approach, comfort working in agile environments, and a commitment to innovation and continual learning

  • Desirable: Web development experience (full‑stack or front‑end) to support the delivery of analytics‑driven applications
