Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)

The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment, and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.

The Opportunity:

KBR is looking for an experienced Annual Work Program (AWP) Manager to leverage their subject matter expertise and collaborate cross-functionally in order to drive the effectiveness of the Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) supporting the PBS under the ACS CLCM contract.

The AWP Manager will deliver intelligent, long-range programmatic maintenance plans that will enhance Material Readiness, maintain Seaworthiness, and meet Asset Certification requirements.

This role is based out of Garden Island, Sydney.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage stakeholder input to develop the 5-Year Work Program (FYWP) and Annual Work Program (AWP), in accordance with the approved Maintenance Management Plan (MMP) for all Amphibious Combat Support (ACS) products.
  • Monitor the AWP burndown and support the acquittal of emergent in-year corrective maintenance in collaboration with platform teams.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Support Team to incorporate in-year supplementary scope, including:
    • Corrective Maintenance (CM)
    • Engineering Changes (EC) & Request For Variations (RfV)
    • Newly triggered External Level Maintenance (ELM)
  • Reconcile the prior year’s AWP to ensure all Maintenance Requirements (MRs) are either acquitted or appropriately carried over.
  • Monitor MMS activity to verify that all approved MRs are correctly triggered, scheduled, and assigned.
  • Conduct small-batch audits to assess Task Progress Completion Certificates (TPCC) compliance and coordinate with maintenance providers (RMC/RMP) to identify and address outstanding corrective actions or partial descopes.
  • Monitor and report on AWP Health Indicators to inform leadership on PBS Maintenance Liabilities and support contract performance metrics.
  • Develop and submit formal written reports and contract deliverables as required under the ACS CLCM Contract.
  • Support the implementation of recommendations arising from AMPS Assurance Cell audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • As a minimum, recognised training qualifications in product relevant Technical Trade or Engineering disciplines,
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Defence maintenance role of which 2+ have been in a leadership position with focus on developing and maintaining management schedules,
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Defence Maintenance Management and Configuration Management systems such as CMT-U and AMPS
  • Strong understanding of Defence Supply Support procedures and inventory systems, along with IPS/ILS artefacts and there they fit in the maintenance activity lifecycle.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience as a Waterfront Engineer or Ship Superintendent
  • Proven skills and experience in leading contracted planned maintenance breakdown activities
  • Experience in Defence Major Acquisition environments

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding an NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
