We are looking for an A-player with an appetite to learn and build from the ground up, who loves a fast-paced, start-up, high-performing environment and culture and thrives on results.

In this role, you will support the field marketing strategy through meticulous planning & execution of events and campaigns, including account-based marketing programs, digital marketing, targeted field events, and direct mail. You will be working closely with the APJ Head of Marketing and the entire GTM team, as well as engaging with customers in meaningful conversations as you further educate the ANZ market about Kong.


What You’ll Do:

  • Build a robust plan for pipeline generation in close collaboration with the ANZ GTM team, aligning with the sales priorities of the region. Learn and understand sales targets and priorities by building and developing relationships with the sales organisation & participating in regular calls.

  • Work closely with the internal stakeholders, such as the sales, inside sales and partner teams, to create new pipeline generation initiatives and outbound campaigns.

  • Drive excellence in the end-to-end execution of field programs such as customer events, external sponsorships, co-marketing programs with partners and digital programs such as paid media campaigns, webinars, etc.

  • Own project management tools, documentation, calendar, and process used for managing Field Marketing programs - including the lead management workflow - establish and record team processes to help us scale globally.

  • Manage budget & invoice tracking; evaluate results against goals, and generate learnings for improvement.

  • Use technology tools such as Marketo, Adobe CMS, Salesforce, Tableau, etc. to execute programs & track results / ROI.

  • Manage relationships with external teams such as partners or agencies to execute marketing programs and activities.

  • Support regional marketing initiatives such as webinars, events, paid media campaigns, website initiatives, etc., in close collaboration with the APJ marketing team.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing, event management or related administrative experience at a software company in ANZ.

  • Methodical, detail-oriented and communicative, you know how to run multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously, prioritising against business needs.

  • Strong writing, presentation and verbal communications skills, with the ability to clearly and simply articulate concepts, messages and strategies.

  • Ability to plan and deliver against hard deadlines.

  • Passion for results, measurement and optimisation to continuously drive ROI.

  • Self-starter who takes initiative, can adapt to rapid growth and can work through ambiguous situations.

  • Motivated team player, ready to come to the table with ideas and feedback.

  • Strong in project management, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Experienced in building and pushing processes.

  • Ability to travel up as needed across ANZ and other locations.

  • Sydney-based, with flexibility to work from home or from the office, and may need to come into the office once or twice a week when it is set up for better team collaboration.
