THE ROLE

As an Operations Pioneer, you’ll be a key player in executing and optimizing regional operations across our depot network. You’ll manage a portfolio of depots and take ownership of critical operational processes — from fleet availability, supplier coordination, and stock management to ensuring depot readiness and expansion.

You’ll work closely with local depot teams, regional leadership, and external suppliers to ensure high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on, problem-solving role where your impact will be directly visible in the operational performance of your region.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Setting up Indie's Operational Structure, Processes and Ways of Working in the APAC region.
  • Be an expert in local operational and fleet procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency across depots.
  • Maximize fleet availability by supporting in-fleeting, maintenance, interventions, and de-fleeting processes.
  • Act as the regional point of contact for suppliers (e.g., workshops, laundry services, gas, and cleaning), ensuring quality, cost control, and SLA adherence.
  • Manage logistics and fleet movements, coordinating transport and vehicle relocation between depots.
  • Execute regional stock and spare parts replenishment, ensuring depots are fully equipped to meet daily operational needs.
  • Support real estate operations, ensuring depot compliance with health and safety standards and contributing to depot expansion efforts.
  • Procure and negotiate with suppliers, expanding our network of partners to increase service capacity and regional footprint.
  • Monitor and contribute to the region’s fleet operating costs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with central operations, product, and logistics teams to evolve processes and implement best practices.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Academic background in Engineering, Transport Management, Mechanics, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in operations, fleet management, procurement, or supplier coordination — ideally in the campervan rental industry.
  • Hands-on and proactive – you take initiative and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills – you're data-driven and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail – you uphold quality standards across everything you touch.
  • Team player – you're comfortable working with distributed teams and external partners.
  • Adaptable and resilient – you navigate uncertainty with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory).
