What You'll Do:
As Application Scientists Manager, you will contribute to Thermo Fisher Scientific mission by delivering superior application services and customer support across our groundbreaking chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments, consumables, and software solutions portfolio.
You will be responsible for partnering with customers at senior levels and for collaborating across our organisations to position our company as a partner of choice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Application Support team to deliver on its key responsibilities, including ensuring effective, efficient and timely application set up, training and demonstration services and contributing to overall commercial success.
- Engage directly with customers and position our services as a key differentiator, drive customer satisfaction and implement remedial actions where required.
- As a member of the CMD management team, contribute to the overall business success and partner seamlessly across commercial and service to drive revenue growth and customer allegiance.
- Build, develop and mentor a hard-working team, creating a successful work environment, implementing performance standards, development and training plans and planning for succession.
- Develop a keen understanding of our local industry business and service needs, and partner with Division experts regionally and globally to meet local needs.
- Adopt continuous improvement practices and deploy accordingly across the team.
Keys to Success:
Education
Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree (chemistry, or similar preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 8 years demonstrated ability in a support function
- Experience leading an impactful team in a relevant industry (experience in a proteomic or analytical science area highly advantageous)
- Proven experience in the operation of analytical instrumentation including LCMS systems
- Sound knowledge on developing methods and troubleshooting on analytical instrumentation (LCMS systems preferred)
