Saluda Medical was founded in 2013 for the purpose of transforming patients’ lives with disruptive neuromodulation solutions. We are leaders in the field with proven exceptional pain management results and, with more than 10 years of advanced research development and clinical experience, we design and develop advanced neuromodulation systems for the next generation of implantable stimulation devices.

About the role 

Reporting to the Head of Software, the primary role of this position is to specify, design, develop, and test the next generation of our clinical application.

This role would suit someone familiar with working in a highly regulated industry. 

What you will do

  • Specify, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform software verification, validation, and defect resolution activities.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality medical device software.
  • Follow company processes and medical device software standards.
  • Contribute to improvements in engineering practices, tools, and automation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience developing, testing, and debugging software applications.
  • 2+ years’ experience with modern programming languages (e.g. Python, C#, TypeScript).
  • 2+ years’ experience with web application frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • 2+ years’ experience with modern software development practices.
  • 2+ years’ experience with software testing, verification, and quality processes.
  • Experience working in Agile development teams.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62304 and medical device regulatory standards.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS.
  • Experience with object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Experience developing cross-platform applications.
  • Knowledge of neuromodulation or similar healthcare technologies.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, testing, documentation, or code quality.
