The Australia and New Zealand Institutional Business markets investment products to Super Funds, Asset Managers, Financial Institutions, Insurers and Sovereign Wealth Funds. The Australia Funds Business markets investment products through intermediaries (for example Financial Advisors, Banks) who, in turn, market these products to individual investors.
As a Sales Support Associate within the Asset Management business in Australia and New Zealand, you will report to the CEO of Asset Management Australia and New Zealand and support the Australia based Institutional and Funds Sales teams (the "Sales team") in various aspects such as supporting the sales strategy delivery, CRM maintenance including data quality, metrics and analysis, as well as research support and data analysis. You will lead the sales support team, and work closely with 2 resources in India to provide support to the Sales team.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and disseminate business, product and market reports / analysis and to ensure that the documents are cleared for external dissemination.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other functional areas to handle client enquiries, RFI/RFP and assist with onboarding.
  • Assist the Sales team, booking appointments and preparing for client meetings and follow up on client information requests
  • Assist with logistics for client roadshows (onshore and offshore) and coordinate with internal parties for all related materials.
  • Maintain records and various logs for the sales team - the role requires a thorough understanding of internal procedures and control framework.
  • Assist input of call reports.
  • Take part in data management, creating client campaigns through CRM. Provide support for rating and segmentation of client data.
  • Perform competitor analysis (positioning of strategies vs competitors).
  • Manage and analyse information including product flows, approved lists, and reports which identify sales opportunities.
  • Prepare internal management reports for internal reporting purposes.
  • Assist with client plans, competitor/product analysis and industry trends/


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • University graduate in Business Finance and/or related discipline with experience in financial industry
  • Good analytical skills and can demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of investment products
  • Effective planning and time management skills to meet strict deadlines or changing priorities (able to self-prioritise and set expectations of others accordingly)
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and communication skills are required
  • Team player, takes initiative to pre-empt what may be needed and required


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • With Asset Management business background
  • Experience in client service would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg and Salesforce would be an advantage
