Join our dynamic team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management Japan, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business. As a leader in the financial industry, we are committed to driving innovation and growth in the Japanese market.
As an Executive Director of Japan Marketing within our dynamic team, you will collaborate closely with the Japan CEO and distribution teams, while receiving support from the regional marketing team, to enhance brand recognition and foster business expansion in Japan. You will be at the helm of formulating and implementing marketing strategies across a variety of channels, ensuring they are in line with our business objectives. Your duties will encompass the execution of a wide range of marketing activities, from campaigns to event management, to boost client interaction across digital and social platforms. Possessing strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, and proficiency in English and Japanese are crucial for this role. You will be reporting directly to the Japan CEO and the APAC Chief Marketing Officer.
Job responsibilities

  • Set clear goals and success metrics aligned with marketing priorities and local business objectives
  • Develop and execute Japan's marketing strategy to drive business growth and efficiency
  • Build brand awareness as a leading global asset manager and ETF provider in Japan
  • Execute marketing campaigns for client acquisition and relationship building
  • Promote product diversification to drive sales conversion
  • Plan and execute digital marketing to enhance customer engagement and sales conversion
  • Use digital, technology, and data to differentiate and accelerate growth
  • Manage corporate communication and public relations locally
  • Conduct market research to monitor brand/marketing performance against competition
  • Evaluate performance of marketing activities


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Extensive marketing experience in driving business growth
  • Proven track record in transforming business and marketing with use of data and digital
  • Solid business acumen and results-oriented
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills
  • Proficient in communicating complex concepts to senior management
  • Excellent digital marketing knowledge
  • Robust quantitative skills and a client-focused mindset
  • Fluency in Japanese and English communication
  • Excellent visual, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication across organizational levels and cultures


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Asset management/investment marketing experience is advantageous
