About the role:
12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Sydney or Perth
RSM is a leading professional services firm with a global presence, known for supporting ambitious organisations and individuals. We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, reporting to the FP&A Manager.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working across a broad range of finance activities and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of accounting journals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including disbursements, prepayments and fixed assets
- Maintenance of the Fixed Assets Register
- Preparation of GST and Corporate Income Tax returns
- Assisting with year-end statutory accounts and compliance requirements
- Supporting budgeting processes and ad hoc financial analysis as required
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following experience and attributes:
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or finance role
- Experience using accounting software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Highly Regarded
- Management accounting experience
