Job Description

We’re seeking a detail‑driven and proactive Assistant Finance Manager to support our Corporate Controllership function. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager – Controllership. This is a hands‑on role involving month‑end close, balance sheet governance, tax compliance support, treasury activities, and mentoring offshore team members. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items 

  • Support preparation of consolidated financial statements & impairment assessments 

  • Manage group leases and perform financial statement analytics 

  • Prepare and review journals with clear, policy‑aligned documentation 

  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and eliminations 

  • Assist with technical accounting research and statutory audit preparation 

  • Support cash flow forecasting and cash optimisation initiatives 

  • Assist with BAS reviews, ATO reconciliations, GST analytics & tax provision work 

  • Mentor offshore team members and contribute to process improvement/UAT 

What You’ll Bring 

  • CA/CPA qualification 

  • 3 to 4 years in a multinational controllership or corporate finance team 

  • Strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge  

  • Experience with SOX, balance sheet review & financial reporting 

  • Exposure to tax governance and audit processes 

  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and professional scepticism 

  • Ability to work across onshore/offshore teams and manage competing priorities
