Let’s talk about this role
As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will prepare and maintain transactional data and reports to ensure the accuracy of the nib groups financial results and minimise risk to nib.
You will be involved in:
Load Bank statements and match data daily
Perform related reconciliations including receipts
Process Bank payment transactions, ensuring appropriate approval, and perform related journal postings
Complete bank reconciliations in a high-volume and multi-currency processing environment
Conduct weekly and monthly reconciliations of trust accounts
Complete Quarterly and Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for designated entities and accounts
Processing month end and other journals
Let’s talk about you
To be successful in this role you will have 3+ years of experience in a commercial environment, ideally in the insurance industry, along with 2 years of banking reconciliation experience (with an emphasis on trust accounts).
You have experience collaborating with the business and taking initiative to follow up on outstanding tasks.
Furthermore, we’re looking for:
Completed or progressing towards completion of tertiary qualifications in accounting
Intermediate Microsoft Excel capability
Ability to meet reporting deadlines
Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
Strong attention to detail
Membership of a Professional Accounting Body (preferred)
Lived or work experience with the NDIS (preferred)
