Intro:
The assistant manager works with and reports to Senior Manager, Fund Services is responsible for managing the service delivery of Fund/SPV administration for a portfolio of Real Estate/Private Equity/Fund of Funds entities for our clients. The assistant manager will work alongside the team to meet the clients' expectations, to optimize the work processes and to maintain close contacts with clients.
Some of the things you'll be doing:
• Responsible for the day-to-day service delivery for Fund/SPV administration for clients' portfolio entities, including but not limited to preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts, preparation of year end financial statements with full disclosure notes, coordination of year end audit, coordination of local tax compliance filings, and payment services for unit trusts and private companies.
• Act as the central point of contact for a portfolio of Australian client accounts.
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and acting as the final level of review. Providing appropriate coaching as necessary.
• Manage the relationships with other service providers in the industry, including auditors, tax advisors and property managers.
• Client Relationship Management & building and maintaining key relationships.
• Support the Australia business growth. Participate in new business proposals.
• Be a 'Doer' role during onboarding stage of new client/mandates.
• Process improvements: including technology improvement and process change improvement, responsible for SOC audit compliance for Australia team, measuring potential risks as well as identifying areas which may add value for our clients.
• Be actively involved in specific projects where required
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
• 4 years plus of relevant work experience preferably in fund houses, fund administrators or professional accounting firms etc
• Experience in trust (MIT) accounting, Trust distribution calculation and management of the process, NAV calculation and tax compliance reporting, such as BAS reporting and income tax reporting;
• Professional Accounting Qualification is a must;
• Broad, in-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Australian Accounting Standards (AAS);
• Possess team spirit with the ability to work independently using your own initiative when appropriate;
• Excellent people management skills as well as the ability to manage a diverse number of stakeholders;
• Customer service focus and performance outcome orientation with all stakeholders.
• Exceptional time management, organisational and analytical skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
